A fresh and playful appetizer that looks as good as it tastes. Crispy baguette slices are brushed with olive oil, baked to golden perfection, then layered with creamy garlic aioli. Topped with juicy cherry tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a touch of chive for detail, these crostini resemble little cherry clusters—perfect for summer gatherings or a colorful starter.

Fresh chives
Fresh basil leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Prep the Bread
Slice the baguette into ½-inch rounds and place on a baking sheet.
Drizzle and bake
Brush lightly with olive oil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Spread the base
Once cooled slightly, spread each slice with garlic aioli.
Top with tomatoes
Place two cherry tomatoes on each slice to form a “cherry pair.”
Add the greens
Use a small piece of chive for the stem and a basil leaf for the garnish, arranging them like cherry leaves.
Finish and serve
Season lightly with salt and pepper, a drizzle of EVOO then serve fresh. Buon Appetito!
Recipe Note
You can sub garlic aioli for garlic herb Boursin cheese as well.
